Santa!

A good friend from church did us a favor, and visited Lilly dressed up as Santa.  I thought she would be ok since we were doing it at home.  Man was I wrong! She took one look at him walking up to the house, and ran away screaming!

 Notice the death grip!

Not even daddy could get her to touch him!

In the end this was the closest we could get to a picture with Santa.  I had to turn Lilly's back to him so he could sneak up behind us! Maybe next year.

Cheese!

Lilly learned to pose for the camera at daycare.  We could never get her to sit still but somehow she has figured it out.  A couple days ago she found her toy camera and walked around saying "cheese!"  She would hold her smile until I pretended to take her picture.

Baking with Mommy

One again I decided to not worry about the mess and let Lilly help me bake.  This time it was Oreo Balls!

It was going well until Miss Lilly got her first taste of Oreos.  Let the chaos begin! Lilly snuck an entire Oreo and popped it into her mouth without John or me noticing.  Next thing you know she got very quite and has a little trail of brown drool seeping out of her mouth!  A whole Oreo was definitely too much for her little mouth.  She gave in and spit it out and ate it bight by bight.  Here are a couple pics of the aftermath!

Look mom, its all gone!

What?  Do I have something on my face?

Grrrr!

I am not happy! I was trying to be festive and change by blog background to a holiday theme. Only problem is, I can't seem to change the font color too. Help me please! I just wasted 45 minutes on this!

Stickers!

Lilly got a potty chair today. I guess I could have taken a picture of her sitting on it, fully clothed, because she thinks it is a regular chair. Anyway she found the reward stickers that it came with and thought they were pretty exciting. I have never seen her lay on her stomach while playing before.

Somehow she just knew they were supposed to go on her shirt!

Baking with Lilly

For the first time, I let Lilly sit on the counter with me while I was making cookies. It's not that I don't want her help, she did a great job, I just don't think it is safe or habit we want to get started. She was a super helper.

She pretended to pour cinnamon into the bowl, and tried and tired to stir the batter but it was too thick. We were doing pretty well until she realized that the batter tasted good. Messy messy.

Anybody notice her pony-tail? We are trying something new.

What a weekend!

For a three-day-weekend I feel like we didn't get anything done. We went and went and went all weekend long! Friday I actually found time to get a hair cut, by car tags, although I didn't get them put on yet and I am just now realizing it is November and my tags are expired, did advance voting, and went to the Halloween parade in Holton. It was so cute how all of Lilly's buddies from church waved at her and blew her kisses!

Saturday we packed up and spent the day in Manhattan supporting the Wildcats. It wasn't a great day, but at least the weather was nice!

Sunday was another long one. Lilly was so tired from Saturday that we let her sleep in on Sunday. She didn't make a peep until 10 AM!

Miss Lilly got up with one bad case of bedhead!

We visited some friends and lots of family for
trick- or- treating. This began with a kiddie party with some little ones that Lilly knows from the library and from visiting Gram, John told Lilly on the way, he was worried because he didn't know any of this kids at the party we were heading to.

The big girls do such a good job playing and looking after Lilly!

Next we stopped by a friends' house for some pics with Olivia, Zoe, Hayden and Brody. Somehow I didn't get any good pics of the boys. Sorry guys :(
The little ones had a more fun playing in the leaves than they did posing for pictures.
This might have been one of the only pics I got a Lilly in her complete costume. She hated her hat.
By 7:00 we were all exhausted. But, Lilly did find time for her favorite new activity, wearing mom and dad's shoes! She actually walks around in them :)

A little old but still worth posting...

We celebrated October birthday two weeks ago in KC. Hanna made a last minute trip home and mom and dad made it up. Even John showed up on Saturday night! Avery and Lilly really seemed to enjoy each other, and Lilly started using a never-before-heard phrase, "All mine!" No idea where this came from but it was not appreciated.
Friday was quite crazy. I had to cancel my haircut last minute to get to the airport in time to get Hanna. Lilly and I stopped at Legends on the way from some retail therapy. Got to the airport just in time and headed to Abby's. Picked Avery up from the sitter and had some play time.
Saturday we all packed up and headed to Deanna Rose Childrens' Farmstead.

First stop was the hay slide.

Then on to the pumpkin patch! Avery enjoyed it!
Lilly a little problem with stealing all of the pumpkins from Avery. "All mine, " was frequently heard.
Little play time with a tiny gourd. Pretty sure we got home with it.
Last stop was a giant stock tub of corn. Took some if it home in the diapers!
Finished up the weekend with a Happy Birthday Brunch at an amazing place called .......can't remember .......Anyway, it was great. Food everywhere, dessert buffet complete with chocolate fountain, tastey, tastey, tastey!

Playing in the pantry never seems to get old for Miss Lilly. She actually crawled into the pantry this time. So cute, wish I had gotten a picture.

I love Baby Shoes!

Lilly's feet are finally starting to grow. I am quite happy about this because of the super cute CLEARANCE RACK shoes I got for Lilly. This pic is one of her sporting her purple. Not a great pic but you get the idea.
New shoes #1. Dark purple with light purple dots. My fav!
New pair #2. Light pink mice with ears. Super cute!
Hope my shoe buying for Lilly doesn't make her into one of those shoe freaks in the future:)

This Little Piggie

We had hit a point where Lilly's hair is slightly out of control. Yep, I will say it...she has a mullet. She has bangs in the front and longer curls in the back. We had been experimenting with pigtails. She screams every time I put them in but they are just so cute.

Good for a WIldcat ......Touchdown!

Lilly showed her Purple Pride this weekend by supporting her idol Bill!

Good for another Wildcat First Down! Yep she had her hand in the air ready to point for the first down. This kid learns fast!Had fun crawling around in the seats.

Family pic while tailgating.
Family pic before we headed to the game. Forgot to mention that Lilly made some new friends, but I was too nervous to take pictures. We were walking around on the concourse and saw the men's basketball team. Lilly walked past them said hi and started blowing kisses. Wally Judge thought she was great and actually blew her a few kisses in return. Nothing like seeing a giant basketball guy turn into a softie and blow kisses at a baby!

Just a little something....

...about me. I like order and organization. I like schedules and to-do lists, colored coded with sharpies. I pack for trips days in advanced. My clothes, as well as my daughter's, are laid out the night before. My lunch and school bags are packed the night before. My weekends are usually mapped out in my head by Tuesday. I very rarely decide to do anything last minute. I am always on time. I LIKE ORDER! You mess with my organized, well planned out, structured life and I am not going to handle it well, and will never apologize for that.
To me everyone should be this way.

Uggg...

I really hate to blog about this but I need to blog about something and talking about the first week back at school is just too boring. So here goes.... This morning I was getting ready and peacefully listening to Lilly talk to herself. She usually does this for 5-10 minutes each morning. I pushed open her door to wake her up and that's when it hit me. The most disgusting smell ever! I walked over to her crib and saw it! Vomit! A lot of it and all over the place. On Lilly, on her froggy, on glowey the glow worm, and all over the bed! She wasn't up set or crying at all. I immediately yelled for John to help. This was a two person job. Lilly got a morning shower and I have the pleasure of doing laundry at 7 AM! Not cool.
I decided to stay home with her and she seemed to feel ok so I gave her plain toast for breakfast. Big mistake! Had to do another load of laundry after the kid puked on me! Not ok! Lilly do not puke on your mommy anymore!

Deanna Rose

We took a quick trip to KC for dad's, John's and Abby's birthday celebration. Mom, Dad, Abby, Adam, Avery, John, Lilly, and I decided to face the heat and head to Deanna Rose Children's' Farmstead for the afternoon. It was amazing, such a good time for all. WARNING...lots of pictures below!!
Daddy and Lil checkin out the map.Had to make a quick stop at the playground. Lilly loves slides!
Lilly and the cow. We were all educated at this time. This is called a cow because she is female and has had calves. As opposed to a steer, heifer, or whatever the other ones are called.
Lilly on the right and cousin Avery on the left.
Funny story about the goats. Lilly was getting hungry when we went to feed the goats. She thought the bottle was for her and had a very hard time sharing. It didn't help that there were tons of kids around and at least 20 goats. There were a couple kids, probably 4 or 5, absolutely screaming bloody murder, like these puny goats were going to hurt them. Needless to say they were definitely city kids.
Checking out the big goats.
A meeting of the minds.....
Pat pat on the Clydesdale. They were so big and beautiful but Lilly was not bothered in the least.
The family pic. I am so bad at these.
Nana Bobbi and the big goat.

Lots more pics on my facebook page.
