My Projects #1

I began tackling projects around the house over Spring Break.  Ok, maybe just one day of Spring Break, and only one project.  But it is a start.

All of this.....

  Count them....three boxes....

... came out of here.  My teeny tiny half of the closet.

It is kinda embarrassing the amount of stuff I cleaned out.  I guess it just explains why my clothes always have to be ironed, and by ironed I mean spraying with water and shaking out.  Sorry mom, it is usually all I have time for.
I also cleaned out the bathroom cabinets, a few dresser drawers and the massive purse pile.  Anybody interested in my hand-me-downs (you know who you are) hit up my garage sale next weekend!

Before the garage sale I need to go through the massive box of Lilly's old clothes and get rid of some stuff.  I also need to get through my kitchen cabinets.  May need a bottle of wine to get through it all! Wish me luck!

Happy St. Patty's Day

Lucky Lilly got to spend St. Patrick's Day with not only Grandma Stous, but also Great Grandma Peggy.  Lilly and G-Ma Stous went to their usual library story time and then went Glenmore Meadows to help celebrate Peggy's 92nd birthday!   I was told Lilly only tried to put her hands in the cake once!

What a cute little group!
Not sure what all went on, but Lilly was one tired little girl when the fun was over!

What a weekend!

Last weekend we went to Salina to cheer on this guy (Johns' brother) and the rest of the Holton Wildcats at the 4A State Basketball tourney.

Lets be honest, we really went to support these two.
John and JD reffed the back half of the tourney and Linsdey, JD's wife, and I, along with Lilly and Marci watched proudly from the stands.  It was great to spend almost two whole days with college friends, and really neat to see John and JD ref.

John reffed the girls semi-finals on Friday and the state championship boys game on Saturday!  He's kinda a big deal!

It was all in all a great weekend!  The Holton boys defeated Topeka Hayden for the first time in 26 years and placed 3rd and the Holton girls went 26-0.  The perfect season! And state champs!

Shoe Lover

I have said it once and I will say it again.  Lilly loves shoes!

Pooper Scooper

Probably shouldn't share this, but oh well, if you don't like it you can quit reading.  Lilly is begging to be potty trained, only in not so many words.  Sunday while I was cleaning up the kitchen, Lilly ran into her room and yelled, "Poopy!"  I told her I was coming and asked her to be patient.  Before I knew it she was standing on my clean kitchen floor, pants off, onsie opened at the bottom, diaper off, and poop falling off of her little tush.  She also managed to leave a nice little trail from her room into the kitchen.  Lucky for me the two rooms are connected.

I am thinking potty training will take place over Spring Break.

Idol Fan

Although I tried to fight it, I have started watching American Idol again.  I really didn't need to get into another TV show, especially one that is on multiple nights per week.  John was gone and Lilly watched it with me this week.  Lilly and her bear pulled up a chair and got into it!
She watched, and laughed, and clapped.  She talked to bear about it a couple times.  I think she told him Lauren Alaina is her favorite!

Little Mommy

Lilly has turned into a little mommy.  She gets out as many diapers as she can hold, lays them all out, and puts diapers on ALL of her babies!  The other night she even asked for cream and powder.  Had to say no to that!

Her other new thing is feeding her babies and animals.  There is a new baby at daycare and I think she has picked this up from watching Theo feed him.  If not, I have no idea where it came from.  The other night it started with her lining up every single baby, stuffed animal, or anything she thought needed fed, including her rubber duckies.

I made her pose with them!  Check out how organized she is.  She must get this from me!

She gave each of them something to eat  Bread for Eeyore, a whole chicken for KSU Raggedy Ann, a pot for Grinch, and a cup for the orange guy who has no name.  She even went down the line and gave them each a drink, complete with Lilly slurping noises!
