Uggg...

I really hate to blog about this but I need to blog about something and talking about the first week back at school is just too boring. So here goes.... This morning I was getting ready and peacefully listening to Lilly talk to herself. She usually does this for 5-10 minutes each morning. I pushed open her door to wake her up and that's when it hit me. The most disgusting smell ever! I walked over to her crib and saw it! Vomit! A lot of it and all over the place. On Lilly, on her froggy, on glowey the glow worm, and all over the bed! She wasn't up set or crying at all. I immediately yelled for John to help. This was a two person job. Lilly got a morning shower and I have the pleasure of doing laundry at 7 AM! Not cool.
I decided to stay home with her and she seemed to feel ok so I gave her plain toast for breakfast. Big mistake! Had to do another load of laundry after the kid puked on me! Not ok! Lilly do not puke on your mommy anymore!

Deanna Rose

We took a quick trip to KC for dad's, John's and Abby's birthday celebration. Mom, Dad, Abby, Adam, Avery, John, Lilly, and I decided to face the heat and head to Deanna Rose Children's' Farmstead for the afternoon. It was amazing, such a good time for all. WARNING...lots of pictures below!!
Daddy and Lil checkin out the map.Had to make a quick stop at the playground. Lilly loves slides!
Lilly and the cow. We were all educated at this time. This is called a cow because she is female and has had calves. As opposed to a steer, heifer, or whatever the other ones are called.
Lilly on the right and cousin Avery on the left.
Funny story about the goats. Lilly was getting hungry when we went to feed the goats. She thought the bottle was for her and had a very hard time sharing. It didn't help that there were tons of kids around and at least 20 goats. There were a couple kids, probably 4 or 5, absolutely screaming bloody murder, like these puny goats were going to hurt them. Needless to say they were definitely city kids.
Checking out the big goats.
A meeting of the minds.....
Pat pat on the Clydesdale. They were so big and beautiful but Lilly was not bothered in the least.
The family pic. I am so bad at these.
Nana Bobbi and the big goat.

Lots more pics on my facebook page.

New babies!

Fur babies that is. We picked up two new baby kitties on Monday. One is a little calico and one looks a lot like Cole did as a kitten. Neither have names yet. These poor kitties had no idea what they were in for!Lilly absolutely loves picking them up all by herself!
Pat pat on the kitty just like Nana Bobbi taught her too!

The Wedding!

Monika, and her wedding, were beautiful! A very classy Polish-Catholic ceremony followed by reception at a golf club.
The delicious candy bar of goodies. John actually packed a sack and then put it in our checked luggage. He has been eating it for the past three days!

Canada Part 2

Monika's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at their amazing house. Lilly had a great time running around the yard and playing with another little one. The weather was amazing while we were there. I don't think it ever got over 75!

My good camp friends Anna, and the beautiful bride Monika. Anna, you made the blog so you better be reading this!
The view of the 1988 Olympic ski park. This is a very zoomed in short from the back yard and Monika's parents' house.
Our hotel had a huge water slide. Lilly and I tried it out...sorta. I climbed up a little ways from the bottom. I think she enjoyed it.

Canada Part 1

John, Lilly, and I went to Calgary for my good friend Monika's wedding. We flew from Kansas City with a layover in Minneapolis. About four hours of flying time total. Lilly did great. She played with the tray table for a while and slept only shortly. Such a big girl. She so badly wanted her own seat!
