4 Months!

Baby Lucy isn't going to be a baby much longer!  She is getting big so fast!  She is officially 4 months old.  Right now Lucy...
*weighs 14 pounds 10 ounces (75% ile).
*is 25.25 inches long (70% ile).
*IS ALL OVER THE PLACE.  This kid figured out she can roll and roll and roll some more!
*has learned to blow bubbles with her spit.
*has still only had breast milk.
*is always wearing a bib because of the spit bubbles and spitting up.
*is very close to outgrowing 3 month clothes :(
*continues to be a very happy baby and a very good sleeper.
*loves nothing more than to be talked to!
How did I get so lucky with such a happy, easy going baby!

EMAW!

Or should I say ESAW (Every Stous a Wildcat!)
Last weekend we made the trip to Manhattan for the KSU game.  Lilly didn't stay grump-faced for long once she heard the band and spotted Willy.  She especially loved the movie of Willie chasing Mean Green.  I wish I could say it was a great game, but Lilly wasn't too into it this week and it was pretty boring.  I wore Lucy for most of the game and she did great!  This was the second game for the girls, but my first.  John took them to the first game without me!  All in all a pretty good day, but we were all tired on Sunday!

Things You Don't Need to Know

I have absolutely nothing to blog about so I am going to share a whole bunch of things you probably don't really care to know.
*My brat of a sister is flying to Hawaii today to run a half marathon.  Must be rough.
*I am currently wearing long sleeves and pants even though it is 80 degrees outside.  My room is an icebox.
*I am back to nursing several times in the evening.  Had a nasty case of mastitis and had only been using the pump.  Only problem is I still have to pump because I have so much milk right now and I am still full of milk after Lucy eats.   Probably an over-share, but oh well.
* Speaking of my boobs, Lucy has a cold and wakes up coughing at night.  She then lays there and talks to herself.  I can hear her over the monitor, which means my boobs can hear her, which wakes them up, which means I have to get up and pump.  Please quit coughing Lucy, so my boobies can sleep!
*I am only 5 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight!  Gotta love all the extra calories you burn making breast milk.  Oh goodness, more about boobs!
*My husband pretty much rocks.  He took both kids with him to the K-State game last weekend without me!  No major meltdowns, no diaper blowouts, and everything and everyone made it home!
*John also picked up both kids yesterday and brought them to watch my volleyball games.  This involved him getting Lucy from the sitter, Lilly from dance, and then hauling them both to Hoyt.  Job well done hubs!
*I just ate school lunch.  It was corn dog day.  I secretly enjoyed it!

Welcome to Atlanta!

Ok, so it wasn't really Atlanta I have had that song in my head since we went! Over the holiday weekend we flew with John's parents to Atlanta and then drove to Macon, Georgia for John's cousins wedding.  We left on Thursday and flew back Monday and we are exhausted!
I was a little worried about flying, but my kids couldn't have done better.  This was the third time for Lilly to fly and she is an old pro at it!  We got lots of compliments on how well they did!  One woman actually told me she didn't even know there were two little ones behind her!  The worst part was the security check, by the time you have to break down the stroller, cram it though the x-ray machine, unpack all of the breast milk, and get two kids and yourself through the line.  It was much easier in Atlanta because they had a special line for families with strollers.  Every airport should have this!
Both kids did really well at the hotel.  There wasn't a ton of space but we got by just fine.  They put us in a handicap room, and I am hoping it was to give us more space.....There wasn't initially a fridge in our room but our housekeeper brought me one for the breast milk! We were well taken care of to say the least.
We spent quite a bit of time at the hotel, just lounging and swimming and trying to avoid the ridiculous heat and humidity.

Baby Lucy has been rolling over like crazy and has decided she likes sleeping on her tummy.
At the rehearsal dinner and the reception Lilly was a dancing queen.  The flower girl clearly was too!
Gotta have yet another family picture!

Lilly absolutely loves her great uncle Jack.  She told me she thinks he is cool because he has the same name as her aunt Hanna's dog!

It has seriously taken me five days to get the laundry done and the house back in order.  It was all worth it though because we had a great time!

Very Late!

With school and volleyball starting, kids, John working and football beginning, and life in general, I am way behind blogging.  At the end of August we celebrated John's birthday.  I felt bad because it was rushed and we didn't do a whole lot of celebrating.  Lilly and I made him blueberry cheesecake and Lilly serenaded him with her version of Happy Birthday!  We topped it off by putting his presents where they would be used and waiting for him to notice them.  He got a K-State rug for his bathroom and new headrest covers for his truck.  Pretty boring but he seemed to be pleased!

And, no Lilly's jammies don't match but she is in the stage of dressing herself.  I let it go when she is only going to bed!
