Photo Dump

Just wanted to share a couple pictures I took on my phone.  Lilly has been working so hard lately to ride her trike all the way around the block. About 3/4 of the way she needed a break, so I had to drive.

John and I had our first experience with Morel mushrooms.  Mom wasn't convinced we should eat them, but I told her I would have John eat them first and if he lived, I would have some too.  They were  good, but not as great as people make them out to be.

I have no idea why, but the first picture of Lucy and our herd just won't seem to load the right way.  She was so fascinated and seemed to really enjoy the cows.  She even tried to moo!

The Big 1!

Baby Lucy is officially no longer a baby!  Good morning birthday girl!

Lots of family joined us for the big day.  I honestly think this is the best picture we have ever gotten with all 4 grand-babies!
I thought Lucy would dive in and destroy her cake, but she neatly picked here and there.

Hanna, Grant, and Jack joined us via FaceTime to sing Happy Birthday.
Lucy got spoiled and did pretty well opening the gifts.  Luckily she had lots of help when she needed it.

We all had such a great day and are so very blessed.

Pete

Friday is finally here!   Lilly has been waiting all week to come to school with me and visit Pete the Cat!  He is one of her favorite book characters.
She had been asking about him all week (does he talk, does he meow, will he read a book to me...)  She was so interested.
Her eyes got huge when he came in the room.  He was way bigger than she expected.  She was all smiles the whole time, and chattered away about him the whole drive home.  It's stuff like this I am going to miss when I leave the school setting.

Funny Farm

Over the weekend, back when the weather was nice, we went to visit some family friends, who happen to own some exotic (and not so exotic) animals.  Abraham the donkey is just Lilly's size.
Little Si the goat was only four days old.  He was so sweet.
Lucy loved him too!
This guy is my absolute favorite.  Seriously, have you ever seen a cow with bangs?

Lilly wanted to climb in the pen with the Peacock and Peahen.
Nothing cuter than big sister chasing the baby, who is not one bit baby anymore!
Lilly went back at least a dozen times to visit Si and Willy.
Lilly asked the other day if she could have her birthday at Gary's Farm, as we like to call it.  I am not sure if these animals are ready for a heard of four year olds, but it would save me from having to clean my house (and clean up afterwards too!)  Might have to seriously consider it!
