5 Months, Really Late

Sweet  Baby Lucy is now 5 months old.  Since I am so slow at blogging, she is actually 5 months, one week, and 4 days old.
This smile looks nothing like a usual Lucy smile, but it was the only one she decided to smile in, so I had to include it.  And no, it is not cold in the house, she is bald, so I prefer she wear the hat.
We also sport headbands to camouflage the baldness.
This picture was just too cute to leave out.
 At 5 months Lucy:
*weighs somewhere around 14 lbs.
* is longer than she was at 4 months
*is still sleeping through the night and can be put in her crib awake.
*rolls all over the living room.  She can get anything she has her eye on!
*got up on all fours yesterday.  I was so surprised I got a little too excited and startled her, causing her to tip over!
*loves Giraffey her WubaNub pacifier.
*is very noisy and loves to reach out and touch peoples' faces.
* throws two hands over her eyes when she falls asleep eating.  Its very dramatic.
* has to hold onto her Bunnies By the Bay ducky when she eats or else she pulls her own hair (Lilly did this too).
* kicks her legs like a crazy lady when she gets excited!
* is comfortable wearing size two diapers and has mostly outgrown 3 month clothes. They are, however still in her closet because I am too lazy to get them out.
*loves chewing on her feet!

Its a Minnie-O-Lantern

It was pumpkin carving time at the Stous House.

Don't let these pictures be deceiving?  Lilly hated the guts!
Can you tell who our favorite cartoon character is?
 How about a closer look!

Birthday Time

Over the weekend we ran to Kansas City to celebrate a couple birthdays, mine and Hanna's.  The four of us stayed at the Brownback's, and mom and dad with Moos family.  It was so nice to have everyone together, even if it was a very quick visit.
John and Grant quickly got themselves in the dog house when they decided to hit a neighborhood bar to watch the K-State game instead of hang in out with the family.  Priorities, people!
I guess Grant made up for it by spending quality time with Lucy.  I think she is going to love him as much as Lilly does! He also got some bonus points for letting Lilly sleep in the big bed with him and Hanna.  Not sure he will be doing that again any time soon.  Apparently he didn't get much sleep and got well acquainted with Lilly's feet.
Even Jack loves Baby Lu
 Time for presents!
Lots of quality time with Papa!
It was a super quick visit but I got many things I have been missing lately: family time, a trip to Vera Bradley, and a much needed stop at not one, but two Carter's stores!

Wordless Wednesday

Ok, so Wordless Wednesday typically includes no explanation, but this was just so darn cute!  I came out from putting Lilly to bed to find Lucy, sound asleep, a good three feet from where I left her.  She apparently had been exploring the living room and got tired.

We have been keeping busy as usual.  Lots of go go go and not a great deal of family time with all 4 of us.  I was all excited a couple weekends ago because we were going to make a trip to KC to surprise Hanna.  Grant ruined our surprise and made plans with his family.  Way to go dude, you are now in the dog house!  Lilly had even made doggie treats for Jack.  She was so sad she could't give them to him.  Need I repeat, GRANT, YOU ARE IN THE DOG HOUSE!
